The Sun’s Not Up Yet
This is a travel day for me, so my morning post won’t be as verbose as usual. Not that my posts are typically long in length – I just wanted to use the word verbose. Why not start my day out feeling smart? I was so super efficient this morning – a 6:05 rise, a little prayer, makeup done by 6:15. But none of this does any good when I have no idea what I’m going to wear. I thought I knew. I had it picked out last night. Yet this morning my chosen ensemble left me feeling “Eh.” You know why? It’s all because of my hair. That’s right – my strangely shaped hair. You all know what I’m talking about. You cut your hair off, regret it, decide to grow it out and wait, ever so anxiously, for the “awkward phase” to set it in. Well, I have arrived at said phase. It won’t stay back, it’s frumpy down, barrettes make me look like a 32-year-old woman who’s trying to look 12. My only choice? A baseball cap. But then what to wear? Workout clothes. I am in a perpetual state of looking sporty. (Perpetual – another word that makes me feel smart.) *sigh* If only I could Photoshop my actual self. Celebrities don't know how good they have it.
